Hello hello! Can you believe it’s August already? 🤯 This year is absolutely flying by. Even the seasons are beginning to shift. It can feel like the year is starting to slip away and there’s still so much to be done.
Maybe you’re feeling overwhelmed or stressed or on the verge of burnout. I know I’ve been feeling many of these things.
I often need to remind myself to practice self-care, and practice it often! There are many ways to do this but meditation and breath work is one of the most effective. Just sitting quietly, noticing your breath.
Start by slowing your breath down, especially the exhale. Inhaling for 4.. exhaling for 6. Notice how you feel after doing this for a few minutes.
This practice helps soothe and reset the nervous system, taking you out of “fight or flight” mode and into “rest and digest”. Try this before eating your next meal and notice how much better your digestion feels!
