Hello friends and happy full moon! 🌝 It’s been a while since my last post — things have been busy! I’ve attended a friend’s wedding, experienced some bad DOMs from a 3 hour salsa footwork workshop, celebrated a child’s first birthday, sauna and cold plunged, caught up with friends old and new, and continued learning more about running a business as a menstrual cycle coach (the less fun side of coaching).
I recently launched a menstrual cycle survey to explore real, lived experiences and bring attention to a topic that still remains stigmatised and taboo. This is a conversation we need to have more openly, and this survey was one way to start shedding light on an issue that deserves greater awareness and discussion.
I also had the realisation that my knowledge and experience of the menstrual cycle was not common — and the survey results (so far) confirms this.
Sadly, most people view their menstrual cycle negatively — as a source of pain, inconvenience, or suffering — and this truly breaks my heart, on many levels.
Firstly, I think it’s unacceptable that painful periods are so common and often dismissed as “normal.” Pain should never be ignored—it’s your body’s way of telling you that something isn’t right. We need to listen to these signs instead of normalising them.
Secondly, I’m disheartened to see many people feeling so disempowered, lacking the knowledge and education about their own bodies to make informed choices. There’s so much we can do to improve our hormone health and transform our menstrual experience, but it starts with awareness and understanding.
And thirdly it’s lit a fire under my butt to do something about this lack of awareness, knowledge, education and body literacy. To help the disempowered become empowered!
Menstrual Cycle Awareness is where I began my journey
Learning how my hormones fluctuated through my cycle was a game changer. It helped me understand that it was completely normal to feel differently throughout my cycle.
That my mood, emotions, mental and physical state ebbed and flowed with the changes in my hormones — and this was ok!
It felt like an instant permission slip to be more compassionate with myself.
It was also a pathway to a deeper connection with my body — a way to truly understand and live in harmony with her.
I discovered how my cycle could help fuel my creativity and align my life with my natural energy. How I could tap into and use these superpowers.
I cannot understate how powerful it is to simply be aware of your subtle hormonal shifts - physically, mentally and emotionally.
To develop such an intimate connection with your body that you understand how and why you feel as you do. It is both liberating and empowering.. and can be a true source of joy.
I want this for everyone.
After gaining awareness and reconnecting with your body, the next step is learning how to support and balance your hormones holistically. There many ways to heal our bodies. Pain or PMS is a just sign that we need to pay attention to something.
This isn’t about striving for a perfect cycle, but rather finding a balance between acceptance and empowered action. I support the perspective that you can accept your menstrual experiences as they are, but I am also passionate about the power everyone has to actively seek a healthier, more balanced cycle. To experience the joys in their menstrual cycle, not just the pain.
This is why I do what I do — to empower others, helping them realise that this kind of transformation is possible.
So, if you’re ready to connect with your body in a deep, practical, and loving way, stay tuned!
I truly believe the world needs this empowering knowledge, and I’m working on something special to share with you.

In other news:
If you have not filled in my menstrual cycle survey, please do so here! You get a free 20 minute consultation as a thank you. And please do share with as many friends and family as you can! The more people that fill it in, the better I am able to help others.
I finally received my certification as an official IMH-C Women’s Hormone Health practitioner! Yay! 🥳
But the learning never stops - I am more than half way through my 6 week “Connecting the Dots on Female Hormones: From PMS to PCOS using the DUTCH Complete” bootcamp at Rupa University - and I have been absolutely loving everything I’m learning!
I have also completed the first draft of my editorial about the menstrual cycle and creativity that was commissioned by Create Define Release - a community-first music organisation working towards an equitable music industry for producers and artists. Aiming to be published in November.
Finally, I highly recommend listening to this podcast episode with Nicole Jardim and Dr Lara Briden about metabolic health, and reading Lara Briden’s latest book Metabolism Repair for Women - particularly if you are someone who struggles with sugar cravings and energy slumps in the day.
Well that’s all for now. Hope you are having a wonderful September (seriously is it already mid way through September - this year has totally flown by). Lots of love! 💖
Congratulations on your certification ❤️ I hope you are blessed with many clients.
